Finding reliable, vetted, and readily available help for household tasks can be difficult, especially within crowded and unorganized local home services markets. Pronto makes booking home services as quick as ordering a cab with its on-demand and subscription-based platform, focusing on speed, trust, and convenience.
“Our platform is designed in a highly configurable way which allowed us to scale from one city to 10+ cities in a year,” says Lakshay Thareja, Pronto’s Head of Engineering.
“Pronto's matching engine combines location handling, partner availability, skill handling, customer ratings, past service history, and the estimated travel time to make sure that our matching engine works as fast as possible.”
AWS powers most of Pronto’s infrastructure, including Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) for containerization, Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS) and Amazon ElastiCache for its caching layer, Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Redshift for analytics, and Amazon SageMaker for machine learning workloads.
Pronto also uses AI for its support operations and engineering productivity, allowing teams to summarize operational insights, automate support workflows, and search across its codebase and documentation with AI-powered assistance.
